I saw what they called the Inauguration of the Airport of Providence. Profesor Walwin Brown gave a very elocuent speech, but not the real whole history of the event. What he said was good, but he did not remember or was not told of how, who and when the airport was built.
We still have Simon Gonzalez as a god, and that nothing has done in San Andres and Providence before 1982 when he took over the mind and obiah almost all the Raizal People, except me and others.
For your infomation, l share with you the following tips of Léxico and History.

He worked whole time on the runway of Providence, from 1958 until 1967, when the firt aircraff landed on it, with him his wife Rotelia Bent Robinson, along with the Intendant Felix Palacio Stephens and first Lady Graciela Toto Livingston Velez.
The Airport of Providence was inaugurated by raizal governor Felix Palacio Stephens in 1967.
5. There are parcial moments of happenings and enlargements and continual adecuation this Airport, as every Airport in the world, but the Inauguration is not work and merits of no one else, but raizals Luis Wilberford Robinson Abrahams and Felix Palacio Stephens.
