Para avanzar en las acciones que cuiden el medio ambiente, la gobernación del Archipiélago de San Andrés Providencia y Santa Catalina implementa estufas ecoeficientes para darle mayor sentido ambiental a su cocina tradicional.
El Archipiélago de San Andrés Providencia y Santa Catalina se destaca por liderar acciones frente al cuidado ambiental y el progreso sostenible de la comunidad local, gracias a iniciativas que cuidan el medio ambiente articulándose con las tareas cotidianas de sus locales.
En aras de fortalecer y facilitar los trabajos de cocción de los platos de sabor caribeño, la gobernación de este departamento esta desarrollando un proyecto que entrega de manera gratuita estufas ecoeficientes a 110 familias gracias a un proyecto financiado por el Sistema General de Regalías.
Este proyecto busca implementar tecnologías adecuadas para reducir la emisión de gases contaminantes en los procesos de cocción de alimentos de la Isla San Andrés y para esto desarrolla dos grandes acciones, la primera mejorar las prácticas de uso de combustibles sólidos para la cocción de alimentos y la segunda ejecutar una estrategia de educación informal dirigida a las comunidades en el marco de la conservación ambiental, todo esto en un periodo de ocho meses.
Las familias beneficiarias participarán de talleres de fortalecimiento en cuidado y mantenimiento del sistema de cocción eficiente, jornadas de intercambio de saberes y experiencias significativas y demás temas que faciliten el uso y apropiación de las estufas ecoeficientes entregadas.

The Archipelago of San Andrés Providence and Santa Catalina stands out for leading actions regarding environmental care and sustainable progress of the local community, thanks to initiatives that take care of the environment by uniting this with the traditional doings of their home place.
In order to strengthen and put easy the cooking work of good taste Caribbean dishes, the government of this department is preparing a project that will give freely eco-efficient stoves to 110 families, thanks to wan project financed by the National System of Retribution (Sistema Nacional de Regalías)
This project try to bring adequate technologies to reduce the emission of contaminating gases food cooking processes on San Andrés Island and for this, it develops two big actions, the first is to make better usage of solid fuels for cooking food and the second runs an informal teaching plan aimed at communities within the framework of the environmental conservation, all this in a period of eight months.
The needed families will participate in studies to strengthen care and maintenance of the good cooking style, these sessions will exchange learnings and significant experiences and other topics that will bring easy the use of the eco-efficient stoves delivered.
