El comité directivo de la diáspora del pueblo indígena raizal informó que, en alianza con la Embajada de Colombia en Trinidad y Tobago, ha invitado a varios líderes y lideresas raizales a un viaje hacia el país caribeño en representación de las organizaciones que los mismos dirigen entre el 13 al 17 de enero de 2025._(English version below)
Se ha organizado una serie de reuniones con, entre otros, el Comité de Apoyo a la Emancipación, encargado de organizar los eventos y actividades de la celebración anual de la emancipación; la organización Pescadores y Amigos del Mar; representantes diplomáticos del Caribe; un experto en cambio climático; el Embajador de Colombia en Trinidad y Tobago y otros grupos o comités de Trinidad y Tobago.
Sin duda, la participación de los asistentes será de inmenso valor en el proceso de integración con comunidades y actores de distintos sectores del país de Trinidad y Tobago y de otros países de la región.
Estas reuniones tienen como objetivo fomentar la colaboración, compartir experiencias, establecer conexiones, abrir la puerta a oportunidades comerciales y fortalecer los vínculos con nuestros vecinos del Caribe, así como permitirnos obtener conocimientos y asociaciones.
Entre las organizaciones participantes, se encuentran la Diáspora Raizal, la Autoridad Raizal, AMEN- SD, la Fundación para las Islas de Old Providence y Santa Catalina - FIOPSC, la Asociación de Pescadores y Agricultores Artesanales de San Andrés y Providencia - ASOPACFA, La Federación de Pescadores Providencia y Santa Catalina y el Movimiento de Veeduría Cívica Permanente de Old Providence.

The Steering Committee of the Indigenous Raizal Diaspora is pleased to inform that, in alliance with the Colombian Embassy in Trinidad and Tobago, it has invited several leaders of the Raizal community to travel to the Caribbean country on behalf of the organizations they lead, between January 13-17, 2025.
A series of meetings have been organized with, among others, the Emancipation Support Committee of Trinidad and Tobago, in charge of organizing the events and activities of the yearly emancipation celebration; the Fishermen and Friends of the Sea organization; various Caribbean diplomatic representatives; a climate change expert; the Colombian Ambassador to Trinidad and Tobago and other groups or committees from Trinidad and Tobago.
Undoubtedly, the participation of the attendees will be of immense value in the process of integration with communities and actors from different sectors of the country of Trinidad and Tobago and other countries in the region.
These meetings are intended to foster collaboration, share experiences, establish connections, open the door to business opportunities and strengthen ties with our Caribbean neighbors, as well as allow us to gain knowledge and partnerships.
Participating organizations include the Raizal Diaspora, the Indigenous National Raizal Authority, The Archipelago Movement for Ethnic Native Self-Determination, AMEN-SD, the Foundation for the Islands of Old Providence and Santa Catalina - FIOPSC, the Association of Artisanal Fishermen and Agriculturists of San Andres and Old Providence - ASOPACFA, the Fishermen's Federation of Old Providence and Santa Catalina, and the Old Providence Permanent Civic Oversight Movement, better known as Veeduria Civica de Old Providence.
